You Can Book the BCB

If you would like information on how to book the Concert Band or one of its smaller ensembles, we can be reached by calling (248) 474-4997 for information. The BCB is available for a fee to perform for a variety of special events such as park concerts, mall concerts, graduation ceremonies, civic functions and other similar events.

Smaller ensembles are available for hire to perform for special holiday events such as dinner parties and sing-a-longs. We can also entertain holiday shoppers in your store or other places of business. The fee is negotiable depending on the length of the program and the size of the ensemble. So whether you need a full size concert band or a smaller ensemble, such as a woodwind or brass ensemble for your function, contact the BCB. We may be able to help you.

"Straw Hat Band"

A subset of the Concert Band is the "Straw Hat Band." This group is made up of some 15 band members who volunteer their time and talent to help raise funds for the BCB's "Summer Music Camp Scholarship Program," which to date has paid over $38,000 to deserving high school & middle school students. The Straw Hat Band is available to perform upon request for a minimum fee, for senior groups, nursing homes, community events, as well as private events.

The Birmingham Concert Band is a community organization sponsored in part by the City of Birmingham and the Birmingham Public Schools Community Education Dept. There is no admission charge for BCB programs. Admission is by voluntary donation. Contributions to the BCB are therefore vital to the Band's existence.
